This exhibit, created by Prof. Jean Lee Cole’s Fall 2013 EN369
Novel in America class at Loyola University Maryland, documents the presence of books and readers in
Baltimore neighborhoods, traces the history of bookstores and book clubs in the
area, and examines how reading communities have responded to social and
technological change.
